A hard but elastic coating for damp basement walls, basement floors and utility rooms
Can be tiled, plastered and overpainted
Can be applied by brush after mixing with water, with perfect adhesion to porous materials and fast curing
Resistant to salts and water pressure on stable, receptive substrates
Crack bridging ability and resistant to permanent immersion
Prevention or strong reduction of salt efflorescence, waterproof but vapour permeable
Instructions
Remove as much old paint and loose plaster as possible
Dilute sealant primer 1:1 with clean water and apply saturated with the spray pump on clean, receptive and stable substrates
Mix the required amount of polymer cement for the first coat (1 kg per 1.2 m²) with pure water. Mixing ratio 400 ml water per kg
Mix with a slow-running mixer (500 rpm) until a thick liquid, lump-free mass is obtained and allow to rest for 2 minutes. Stir again before use. The mixture is workable for 35 to 45 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature
When stiffening up in the pot, never add water to respect the mixing ratio: so mix as much product as you can apply within the processing time at most
Apply the first coat of +/- 1 mm with a broad, stiff brush on the still wet primer
Allow to dry for 3 to 5 hours before applying the second layer (the first should feel hardened)
Moisten the first layer with water using a sprayer and apply the second layer of +/- 1 mm at right angles to the direction of brushing the first layer
Clean material and spilt product immediately with clean water. Can only be removed mechanically after curing
Complete curing after 7 to 14 days, depending on temperature. Air humidity during this period: 50 to 80 %.
Ensure ventilation to avoid condensation. Do not use a construction dryer or dehumidifier in the first month after application
Can be repainted after curing with breathable paint
Consumption: 1 10 kg bag for 6 m² (2 mm thick in 2 layers on a plain wall)
